Try new things!
You don’t have to go bungee jumping to try something new! How about trying something new to eat, all you Picky Eaters? How about trying a new hobby? How about trying a new kind of book to read ~ like poetry, a western, or a science fiction adventure?
And grown-ups, there is a reason for that phrase, “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks”! You can try something new, too. C’mon, it’ll keep you young at heart!
Don’t put yourself down!
This is what I call a CREATIVITY CRUSHER. Are we all good at something? You bet! Are we all good at the same thing? No! And wouldn’t the world be boring if we were!?! Forget the self-criticism... Celebrate your gifts and then share them with the world!
Be a learner...
Well, this is a “no-brainer” (pun intended). I don’t know about you, but I want to keep getting smarter! My learning is never finished, how about you?
Be a teacher...
You don’t have to be a teacher to teach somebody something. You don’t even have to be a grown-up! In fact, sometimes kids make better teachers than adults ~ it’s true! Take what you learn and pass it on. Then, you’ll be a teacher too!
Use your Artist’s Eyes!
Artists are not the only people who look at the world with Artist’s Eyes. Know what the trick is to seeing the world with a whole new set of eyes? I’ll tell you... Try new things, don’t put yourself down, be a learner, and be a teacher. If you do these four things, you’ll be looking at the world with a whole new set of eyes. ARTIST’S EYES!
